The UV laser marking machine is a technology very different from CO2 and Fiber laser technology. Today we are going to explain the main differences between this technologies.
Cold laser engraving
Also knows as the blue laser beam, this technology has the capacity of engraving with a low rate of heat. The light wave or UV light spectrum of this machine is one of the main reasons this technology can engrave over different materials because it doesn’t heat the material surface as the Fiber and the CO2 does. It allows the UV laser mark clear and with high precision over all the plastics and other materials that have an adverse reaction with heat.
There are thousands of different mix of plastics, and all of them can be engraved for UV laser technology, these are some of the most common plastics engraving with our laser engraver machine.

Metals laser mark
The UV laser it can engrave and mark metals, but not always with the same effect as the fiber laser engraver machine. While a fiber laser can etch over the metal surface with deep effect and with a clear result, the UV laser has problems engraving metals covered with painting, or metals highly reflective like the copper. The UV laser is a full crossover technology, ideal for overall engraving plastics and some common metals. However, one of the significant advantages of this machine comes at the time to engrave some non-metal materials like wood. This machine can make amazing engravings on different wood surfaces. It can’t make deep and fast etching as a CO2 galvanometer laser, but it can produce a light and beautiful marking result.

Garments
Our UV laser machines also can engrave some garments, especially if the garments are rich in synthetic fibers. However, if you want to engrave in specific clothing, we can run a test to check the engraving results before you purchase our machine.
El láser UV es una de esas tecnologías que pueden grabar sobre superficies de vidrio sin romper o sobrecalentar el material. Puede crear asombrosos grabados y patrones sin que se produzcan astillas de vidrio.
Marcado láser de papel y cartón
El grabado del cartón también depende del material, y el resultado es diferente al grabado habitual de las máquinas de CO2. Mientras que las máquinas de CO2 carbonizan la superficie de los cartones o materiales de papel, los UV generan una reacción química marcando la superficie del material, es por ello que podemos grabar con color blanco sobre superficies de cartón, y si queremos grabar en cartulina negra, todavía podemos obtener un contraste claro.
